Greg Billig

31 Nagle, Apt 6K

I moved to NaBors Apartments in 2018 with my long-time girlfriend, Maria. I have spent most of my life in the New York City area, including many years in this neighborhood. This is our first home purchase, and we have always enjoyed living here.

Now, facing tough times, it feels like the right moment to step up, bring change, and help our community recover from the current difficult situation we are facing. I will prioritize completing the façade repairs while actively exploring every possible avenue to ease the financial burden on shareholders. I am committed to a more collaborative approach to governance and to ensuring full transparency in all co‑op affairs, especially when it comes to our finances.

I am a technology consultant at a large management and technology consulting firm. I work with clients to understand their objectives, and design solutions to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and reduce costs. My work requires creative thinking and the ability to solve complex problems, and I plan to bring those same skills to the challenges our co‑op is navigating.

Stephen Betts

14 Bogardus, Apt 6S

My wife and I have been living in Bogardus since 2016—we reach a decade this year as proud members of the NaBors community! I am a Senior Director in the Digital Department at the New York Public Library, where I’ve worked for more than eight years. I was also the interim Chief Digital Officer for 15 months, running a team of 80+ people, and managing a departmental annual budget of millions during a time of fiscal crisis in the city.

During our time here, I have joined the green committee and the gym committee of the board, and my wife was a board member for two years. As you can imagine I believe we need to get more people involved in the life of our co-op, and the large, active community of shareholders that Greg and Maria have gathered has been a wonderful thing, coming out of a very difficult time.

As a board member, a major goal for me would be to ensure we sustain that healthy community of engaged shareholders, valued contributors and advisors, and future board members—I believe it’s essential to ensure a healthy future for our co-op, for our homes.

Maria Blanco

14 Bogardus, Apt 5S/T

My family and I moved into 14 Bogardus in 2012. I have lived here, raised my girls in the public schools here, and started a business in the neighborhood I call home. Since living at 14 Bogardus, I have been on the gym committee and was involved with the exploratory committee for solar panels, in the hope of adding to the building reserve fund.

As a business owner I spend my days working with other health professionals, patients, families, insurance companies, managing finances, networking, reading city contracts, and creating training seminars for future leaders in the field, schools and hospitals. I have learned through all of it that it matters who is on your team.

This is a difficult moment in our building’s history, and how we work together to solve our issues will dictate if we come through this incredibly devastating moment weaker or stronger. To be a WaHi resident and a part of the NaBors family means completing building jobs, providing transparent, clearly stated information to our shareholders, and finding innovative ways to bring revenue back into the building.

I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves with all of you to find solutions that benefit the entire building collective. It’s time to get back to those notions of what being a part of NaBors means.

Frank J. Castillo

31 Nagle, Apt 6H

My name is Frank Castillo, and I’ve been part of this community since 1996. I first lived at 14 Bogardus, purchased 3M at 31 Nagle in 1999, and eventually moved into 6H in 2011. I also served a short term on the co‑op board in 1999–2000. Nearly three decades here have given me a deep appreciation for the growth, resilience, and character of our buildings and the people who call them home.

NaBors has been a wonderful place to raise my daughter and build lasting memories. Over the years, I’ve shared several suggestions with the board, such as implementing the ConEd master meter to reduce electric costs, negotiating a master cable/internet agreement, conducting an FDNY fire safety assessment that led to extinguishers on every floor, and adding a key box for emergency roof access.

Professionally, I bring more than 35 years of experience in corporate America. My background includes IT and physical infrastructure management, global program leadership for large and complex engagements, corporate governance, contract and financial auditing, and crisis management across the Americas.

My goal is to build on the successes of the past while helping guide our co‑op toward a strong, healthy, and stable future. I see and hear the concerns of our neighbors, and I’m encouraged by how many are ready to participate, collaborate, and strengthen our community together. I look forward to working with all of you in any capacity.

Shannon Mora

14 Bogardus, Apt 4U

As a born and raised New Yorker, it’s a true privilege to be a homeowner in this city and part of the NaBors community. I’ve been a proud shareholder here for the past two years and care deeply about maintaining the sense of pride, stability, and neighborly connection that makes our co-op special.

Professionally, I’m a licensed real estate professional who has helped many people find their first and forever homes. Through my work, I’ve developed a strong understanding of property values, building operations, and the importance of thoughtful, transparent decision-making that protects both residents and long-term investment.

I’m interested in serving on the board to contribute my perspective, support our community, and help ensure NaBors continues to be a place we’re all proud to call home.
